Based
on the overwhelming appeals from fans of the good Sister worldwide, as
well as extremely positive feedback through this website, the author
has authorized the formation of The International Sister Fidelma Society - the only such organization officially sanctioned by the author, who serves as its patron.
Membership in the Society include a 3-times yearly newsletter, The Brehon,
emailed to subscribing members in PDF format. We'll be updating
fans of the author and his character on the activities of both,
contributions by both fans and fellow authors, information about the
artists involved with the various Fidelma covers, etc., as well as
possible coordinated trips to Ireland to
visit Fidelma locations.
The
main thrust of this Journal is feedback from the readers themselves.
The worldwide readership of the Sister Fidelma Mysteries continues to
expand with each new tale, and new devotees of the religiuse continue
to express their feelings about the detective and her author. We want
this section of the journal to be your venue - we want your input, your
comments,
your ideas. Share with fellow readers how you first came across Sister
Fidelma - what it is you like about the character(s), the stories, etc. We will
publish as many as we have space for. Readers are
encouraged to send their comments, etc. to the
Editor at 648 Hanes Mall Blvd, #300, Winston-Salem,
NC 27103 USA. Comments may also be
emailed to david@sisterfidelma.com.
